Gent defeated by surprise 3-1

VC Oudegem won the Belgian Cup, overturning the odds against their rivals Gent. A surprise victory that banished the nightmares of the final lost last year by the Oudegem girls. 
An authoritative performance, where the result was in dispute only in the second set, won by Gent 30-32. 3-1 was the final result, with the National Cup being welcomed to the small town of Oudegem for the first time. 

It was a historic achievement considering the size of Oudegem, a village in the north of Belgium with just over 4,000 inhabitants, which is part of the municipality of Dendermonde in the Dender region. VC Oudegem will wear EYE Sport from the 2021-22 season.
