EYE Sport and U.S. Catanzaro 1929 present the new Away Kit for the 2026/27 season, a project that combines local identity, technical innovation, and aesthetic research.

The concept behind the new jersey is called “City Between Two Seas” and stems from Catanzaro’s strong connection with its unique geographical position. The city lies on Italy’s narrowest isthmus, at a point where the Ionian and Tyrrhenian Seas are just a few kilometres apart. This distinctive feature has helped shape the city’s identity over time as the “City Between Two Seas.”

It is precisely this element of the local territory that became the starting point for the EYE Sport project. Founded in 1929, U.S. Catanzaro has represented one of the city’s main sporting symbols for almost a century, while the club’s yellow and red colours have become an integral part of the identity of the Catanzaro community. The new Away Kit interprets this history through a contemporary language, maintaining a strong connection with the local area while looking towards the future.

The jersey features a yellow base, paying tribute to the popular desire to see yellow return to the club’s shirt. A dynamic pattern inspired by the movement of water develops across this colour.

The graphic consists of fluid, irregular white lines that flow across the torso, creating a sense of continuous movement. The same graphic language is reproduced on the back, creating visual continuity across the entire garment.

At the heart of the graphic design is sublimation printing, a technology through which the pattern is integrated directly into the fabric. This process creates a continuous, clean and lightweight graphic while preserving the softness and functionality of the material. The design is not simply applied to the surface but becomes an integral part of the fabric, creating a uniform and dynamic effect that complements the construction of the jersey.

The technical construction has also been developed to meet the demands of sporting activity. The main body is made from Interlock, while the side panels, shoulders and sleeves are made from Round Mesh, providing lightweight performance and increased breathability. The fabrics feature Wicking treatment, designed to help manage moisture during physical exertion.

The distinctive V-neck, which mimics a polo-shirt collar, is finished internally with a red insert, while the cuffs are made from Rib fabric. On the chest, the EYE Sport logo and the U.S. Catanzaro 1929 crest are both featured in silicone.

The sleeves feature the “EYE SPORT” branding in red. Inside the collar, the “USCZ29” inscription is incorporated, while the upper back features the representative wave symbol in red silicone. On the inside hem of the jersey, a customised trim bears the inscription “USCZ29 – CITY BETWEEN TWO SEAS”, providing another element that connects the product to the city and the collection’s concept.

The edges are enhanced with red piping, highlighting the club’s traditional yellow-and-red colours.

The garment is completed by an NFC tag, positioned at the lower part of the left side, together with an internal label dedicated to user certification.

The product is finally presented in compostable packaging.
